Schools using FACTS can request a custom ARK export by contacting their FACTS representative or submitting the request form (Log into FACTS > Select System > Select Configuration > Select Integrations). In 'Select Integrations' you will find the two 'Assessment of Religious Knowledge' report options.
Once you have requested the integration and ensured the ARK custom report is available on your FACTS account, follow the below steps.
1. In FACTS, go to Reports > Report Manager > Custom Reports, then run Assessment of Religious Knowledge Students (or Assessment of Religion Knowledge Classes).
2. Download the report. If the top row contains the report name instead of column headers, delete that row.
Note: FACTS may also include Kindergarten and 1st grade students. If you are testing Theology only, these grades do not roster in ARK, so remove them from the file before importing.
3. Save the file as a comma-separated values (.csv) file.
5. Click the blue "Import" button at the top right of the page.
6. Find your file, or drag and drop it into the upload area.
7. Once you have selected your file and it matches the CSV format and required headers, ARK will open a new window with the import fields. Click Import.
8. ARK will display sample data for review. Confirm that First and Last name and all other fields appear correct, then click Confirm & Import.
9. Your students will now upload. The progress will be shown in a bar on your screen. When the upload is complete, ARK will provide a downloadable .csv containing any failed records.
Note: You may experience "duplicate students" if students are transferred in from another school using ARK. Please "accept and merge" if the students match the listed data, or "decline" if the listed student does not belong.
10. Once your import is confirmed, click back on the Students tab.
11. Your new students will appear alphabetically in your roster.
