Student Proficiency for NCEA School of Distinction
How to Determine your School's Student Proficiency for the new NCEA School of Distinction award
The NCEA School of Distinction award requires 70% of students showing proficiency in religion score in addition to other measures.
ARK readily provides this data on your School Dashboard. To gather this data:
- As a Center AdministratorLogin to your ARK account
- Click on 'Reports'
- You can either of two measures to report
- The Student Knowledge Percentile: With a Student Percentile of 60th or higher you are showing that the majority of your students are currently proficient in the knowledge of the Catholic Faith. While we continue to strive to improve even those scores, these students are performing well.
- The Student Population score distribution: The new School Dashboard report shows the break down of students in five standard quantile bands: 1-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-79, 80 and above. Adding the percent population of those students who have scored in the 2 upper bands (60+)
