- To create classes for your institution, please navigate to the Classes menu selection.
- Select the “+New” button in the upper right corner of your screen. A window opens to prompt you for the relevant information.
- NOTE: If you are testing for academics in addition to religion, please refer to the Academics Classes Section of this help article for further directions on how to create classes
- If you are ONLY taking the ARK religion test, you will see a window that looks like this:
- Select the Grade Level for the Class and click the Theology square.
- At this time, the square should expand to include options for a textbook, a textbook publisher, and an addition. Please fill these out using the dropdown menu.
- NOTE: We sourced our list of textbooks from the USCCB approved curriculum list, and so we are finding that some textbook series do not appear. If the textbook you use does not appear, please select "Other" for the publisher, "Readings selected by teacher" for the textbook series, and "0" for the edition.
- For High School classes utilizing 2 Framework courses per year, enter the 2nd Textbook information, else leave blank.
- Enter an identifiable name for the Class. NOTE: These Class names will be displayed on your and the teacher’s reporting dashboard so use something that is descriptive such that you know what it is.
- Select the teacher for this class. (This field will present a picklist of Teachers.)
- Click “Save & add more” and repeat steps 2-6 for as many classes as you need to create. Or click “Save & close” to save the class and return to the Classes menu.
Academics Classes testing in addition to religion testing:
If you are testing for academics (Reading and Math) in addition to Religion/Theology after clicking the +New button in the top right hand corner, you will see a screen that looks similar to this:
- Select the Grade Level for the Class
- If the classes are the SAME (i.e. all the same students and the same teacher for all subjects) for all the tests you plan on administering, you can select ALL the subject areas you plan on testing for
- If the class is NOT THE SAME (e.g. Math has a different teacher and different students than Theology) then ONLY select the subject for ONE class.
- If you select Math and/or Reading, the square will not change and will continue to look something similar to this:
- If you select Theology (with or without the other subjects), the square should expand to include options for a textbook, a textbook publisher, and an addition.
