Select “Testing Sections” from your Dashboard navigation menu

1. Confirm that the Testing Sections you see are what you expect.
2. Select “Testing Dashboard” to view the details of each Section you will administer.
3. Confirm the Section name and the Student list. You may need to scroll across multiple screens, so be sure to check the entire list.
4. Use “Remove” for any Student listed who you know will not be taking the Test in that Section.
5. Use “+ Add student” to include Students who are missing and in the same grade.
   
   
   
6. The Testing Dashboard contains many useful features:
7. The tabs at the top tells you which subject you are testing. There will be a tab for EACH academic and theology test that this class and testing section will be taking. In this example, the class is testing Reading, Math, and Theology and the selected exam is Theology.
   
8. You can toggle between these testing tabs so long as none of the tests are open. Now the tab is selected for Math (see below). When a subject test is opened, the proctor can ONLY go between subjects if they PAUSE the open section.
9. STUDENTS testing in a section with multiple subjects will be shown only the ‘proceed to test’ button if ONE subject is open. If multiple subjects are open, then the student will be presented with a ‘proceed to test’ button for EACH open section. BUT, whichever section is paused, if the student goes to that test, they’ll get a message that the section is paused and have to use the back button in the browser.
   
10. ARK is NOT a timed test. The time is given as an approximate Test Length for planning purposes.
    
11. The controls for Open Login, Begin Test, Pause Test, and Complete. NOTE: Pausing the Test stops all answer entry for all Students in the Testing Section. Students will continue the test from their last answered question when resumed.
    
    1. Open Login enables Students to log in to the Test and prepare to begin. A Student will be denied system access if they attempt to log in before you press this button.
    2. Begin Test activates the Test for all logged-in Students in the Testing Section. This also sets the Time Start and begins the Time Remaining tiles. This timer is for your reference only and will NOT impact access to the test or scores.
    3. Pause Test allows the Proctor to pause Students’ ability to answer questions. All current responses are stored for individual Students until the Test is resumed.
    4. Resume Test will display after the Pause Test button is pressed. All data entry is suspended until the Proctor clicks this button.
    5. Complete Grade will stop the test for all students, save their tests exactly where they left off, and submit the test for grading. Once the test has been completed, it cannot be unlocked at the teacher or center administration level. This button should ONLY be pressed once ALL students have completed their tests. If there are any absent students, simply pause the test at the end of the testing period and resume it again later when the absent students are ready to test.
       
       
12. The ability for the Proctor to Print Passwords for all Students listed in the Testing Section, or Send Login Links to Students with registered school email addresses. Note that you can also individually send the email link if needed.
    
    1. Print Passwords produces a printable PDF file with a listing for each rostered student. These listings can be separated to produce a ‘test ticket’ with each students’ login ID and password. The password WILL NOT CHANGE no matter how many times you press the print password button. 
    2. Send Login Links (not pictured here) will generate a dedicated email for all students registered in the section that will provide the student a login link to their dedicated assessment. The class-level link is only available if all rostered students have a valid, school email address. Individual Links can be (re-)sent as needed from the button on the far right of the student listing. (as seen above)
       
       
13. The ability to Remove a Student from a section — up until and even during the Test. NOTE: Removing a Student during the Test will wipe out any questions they’ve answered, and they will be able to start again once assigned to a new Testing Section.
    
14. Student Status and Progress are automatically updated as Students log in, start the Test, and proceed through taking the Test.
